Administration and Governance

Administration is where a tenant sets up the things every other module depends on: who works where, what they may do, which services are offered and at what price, and which outside systems are connected.

What administrators manage

  • Organisations and facilities, with their locations, currencies and administrative divisions
  • Users, roles and permissions, including access reviews
  • Services and prices, clinic departments and standing protocols
  • Payers: insurers, HMOs, retainers and corporate accounts, and how each pays
  • Templates and teams used by messaging and worklists
  • Patient setup: registration fields, lists and classifications
  • Billing configuration: when bills are raised, deposits and settlement rules
  • Integrations and API clients: connections to outside systems such as FHIR servers, insurers, accounting packages and devices

Why it matters

Clinical screens assume this setup is right. A missing price stops a bill, a role without the right permission hides a worklist, and an unmapped payer blocks a claim. The onboarding checklist walks a new tenant through these settings in order; see Onboarding and access.

Audit

Changes to users, roles, permissions, prices and privacy settings are recorded with who made them and when, so an administrator can answer how a setting came to be what it is.
