Inventory and Pharmacy

Inventory

  • Locations: stores, pharmacies, wards and theatres, each with its own stock
  • Stock balances and movements: receipts, transfers, issues and adjustments
  • Formulary: the medicines and products a facility uses
  • Controlled drugs, with their own register
  • Verification queue for counts and adjustments that need a second person
  • Analytics on usage, expiry and reorder levels

Pharmacy

Prescriptions written in a clinic or on a ward arrive at the pharmacy for review and dispensing. Dispensing draws down stock at the pharmacy's location and adds the items to the patient's bill.

Blood bank

The blood inventory module covers the full chain:

  • donors and donor screening
  • collections and processing into components
  • inventory of units by group and expiry
  • requests from wards and theatres, and issue
  • haemovigilance reporting
  • reports and settings

Blood bank records can be exchanged with external screening and haemovigilance systems over FHIR.
